Fans of beloved anime film giant Studio Ghibli in the United States have been delighted in the past few years by a collaborative effort between Fathom Events and GKIDS which brought classics such as My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke back to theaters to celebrate anniversaries of their release.
Now GKIDS and Fathom Events are teaming up once more, letting fans celebrate the anniversaries of 9 groundbreaking Studio Ghibli films on the big screen from April to December.
Both English dubbed and original Japanese language (subtitled) screenings will be available for the following films throughout the year at the below dates:
Howl’s Moving Castle (15th Anniversary): 4/7, 4/8, 4/10
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (35th Anniversary): 5/20, 5/22
Whisper of the Heart: 7/1 and 7/2
Kiki’s Delivery Service (30th Anniversary): 7/28, 7/29, 7/31
My Neighbor Totoro: 8/25, 8/26, 8/28
The Secret World of Arrietty: 9/29, 9/30
Spirited Away: 10/27, 10/28, 10/30
Princess Mononoke: 11/17, 11/18, 11/20
The Tale of the Princess Kaguya: 12/16/ 12/18
