Just last week, photographers in Japan took advantage of long-staying sakura during a strong cold front that turned Japan's most famous cherry blossom spots into a gorgeous winter wonderland, but photographer @TakahiroBessho may have one-upped them with the help of a drone. His photos show a stunningly beautiful riverbed of cherry blossom trees in Shiga prefecture.

The next two pictures were taken with a drone (with proper permission granted, of course), and TakahiroBessho remarks that it was such an extraordinary moment that sometimes all you can do is laugh in response to how beautiful nature is.
