It appears that KFC-scented bath bombs were only an appetizer when it comes to the fried chicken empire's surprising ventures, as they've just announced plans to release their very own video game. Not just any video game, however, but a dating simulator where you study alongside Colonel Sanders in culinary school and pursue romance with the KFC founder: I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator.
If you're not convinced it's real, don't worry--your shot at Kentucky Fried love with the Colonel has been confirmed by KFC itself.
The fast food dating simulator, which seems to have come out of nowhere, is developed by Psyop and published by KFC. It will drop you into the role of a "promising culinary student" whose goal is to win the affections of Colonel Sanders and even become his business partner. Throughout the course of the game (which takes "multiple hours") you'll encounter rivals for the Colonel's love, cooking battles, 11 Herbs and Spices, recipes, and even Professor Dog--the culinary school's talking canine professor.
Here's the game's official description on Steam, where the game will be released on September 24th.
I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator follows you, a promising culinary student, as you try to date your classmate, Colonel Sanders. Throughout your journey, you’ll be faced with life-changing decisions that will affect your chances of friendship and love. But be careful! Your choices have real consequences with real animated characters’ feelings at stake.
Do you have what it takes to survive culinary school? Will Colonel Sanders choose you to be his business partner? Or maybe even so much more? Find out in the most finger lickin’ good dating simulator ever created—a game that KFC actually made.
