On the hotel’s ground floor, the elegant Fontaine Lounge will be selling the colourful “Sakura afternoon tea”. Chocolate worked into pale pink sponges, decorated by Japanese printed cocktail umbrellas will imitate a “cherry blossom viewing in the garden” on the cake pedestal, perfect for any Foodies Instagram feed.
The sweets to be offered are inspired by cherry blossoms when they are in full bloom and will include a cream cheese pudding with a subtle aroma of sakura, and a fluffy pink sakura roll cake. Savoury snacks made of soybeans and rapeseed will complete the spring season afternoon tea collection.

In addition to the “Sakura Afternoon Tea” offered in the hotel lounge, the patisserie and bakery, Iki, on the ground floor will be selling cherry blossom themed bread, cakes and sweets; the perfect snacks for spring.
A sakura roll cake made of salted sakura and pale pink sponge and crispy choux a la creme with an inner whipped up from sakura custard will satiate any sweet tooth. As well as the cakes, customers will be able to try sakura pudding pots made of layered sakura and matcha flavours, and sakura sweet rolls filled with spring season red bean paste, which are both being added to the menu for the first time this year.
The special menu at Iki is being prepared as an entry into the Sakura Fes Nihonbashi. The Sakura Fes Nihonbashi is an annual event which sees places in Nihonbashi showcase sakura in all sorts of ways, from light installations, to food and drink markets.
