As Thomas Romain, a Tokyo-based anime artist who turns his sons' sketches into awesomely detailed illustrations will show you, professional artists have a very creative bond they can share with their children. Yusuke Murata, the talented artist behind the popular One-Punch Man and Eyeshield 21 series is no different.
Often praised for his fine use of detailed and little to no wasted space, you can appreciate how it might be a bit intimidating to follow in his artistic footsteps.
Murata's young daughter seems undeterred, however. The manga author recently took to Twitter to share his daughter's artwork, saying "My 10-year-old daughter has begun drawing manga. I hope she enjoys drawing it!"
Murata says his budding illustrator daughter is a big fan of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun (Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun) and has been drawing a lot of fan art for it.
Murata made sure to share the spotlight with his son as well, who at the age of 7 showed off his own skills with this cool sketch of a Jaeger--although Murata laments the lack of a kaiju in the picture.
If Murata's kids keep up with this enthusiasm and progress, the whole household may be producing manga artists in the near future.
