To commemorate the release (now delayed due to the novel coronavirus) of the Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time film, Fender is releasing a special Neon Genesis-themed limited edition Fender Telecaster, modeled after Asuka Langley Soryu.

The 2020 Evangelion Asuka Telecaster carries the color scheme of Asuka's plugsuit and Evangelion Unit-02, and even comes with a NERVE logo on the back. The guitar, made in limited production, also comes with a special portrait of Asuka carrying the guitar drawn by anime director Kazuya Tsurumaki and a special certificate.

The limited edition 2020 Evangelion Asuka Telecaster will be go on sale in mid-July for 250,000 yen, available only from Fender.
