2020 has seen a rise in the number of nintendo switch game players across the globe, and with games like Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Animal Crossing: New Horizons that focus on cutesy characters, it seems that a lot of players have a craving for adorable visuals.
However, Isabelle and Pikachu need to take their seats, as there’s a new lovable character getting ready to take over switch consoles this September: Koupen-chan.

You’ve probably seen Koupen-chan before, most likely on your LINE account. Drawn by the artist Rurutea, Koupen-chan is a baby emperor penguin that comes in a variety of stickers that focuses on praise, encouragement and love.

The new game, Let’s play together ~ Koupen-chan is being developed by Neos Co., Ltd and will be released on Thursday 24 September, 2020. It will be Koupen-chan’s first game on Nintendo Switch and will allow players to experience the casual life of the penguin as he interacts with and helps other characters inside a traditional folk-house cafe.
The game comes with a number of puzzles that you can play against or cooperate with your friends and family, and will also feature a variety of events and missions that can be completed by interacting with the in-game characters.
The game recreates the peaceful and gentle world designed by Rurutea, and can be enjoyed by both children and adults.
