Starbucks Japan’s elaborate beverage creations are the envy of Frappuccino fans around the world, with their host of limited-time-only, Japan-exclusive flavours. They spoil us with a drink for every season, and of course that includes Japan's favourite season, spring!
The ubiquitous coffee chain’s cherry blossom offerings are their highlight of the year, and they’ve already unveiled their chilled cup beverage which can be picked up at convenience stores. Now they have also finally revealed a sakura-inspired drink duo which will be appearing in branches of Starbucks all over the country.
For the ‘Sakura Fuwari Berry Frappuccino’, a classic Frappuccino milk base has been laced with sakura strawberry sauce and mixed with a velvety raspberry panna cotta. The fluffy, cherry blossom petal-inspired topping consists of sponge crumbs flavoured with sakura and vanilla, along with a sprinkling of freeze dried strawberry pieces.

The hot option is a ‘Sakura Fuwari Berry Milk Latte’. A hot milk base is flavoured with a sauce made out of real strawberry juice and sakura petal powder. The sweet and subtle flavour is perfect for a springtime walk, even if the weather is still a bit chilly.

These drinks are currently on the menu at Starbucks branches all over Japan. The latte will be around until 16th March, and the Frappuccino will stick around until 13th April 2021.
