As the crypto art bubble continues to swell, the Japanese content industry has taken notice. We've already reported on the AniPic! digital platform centered on NFTs of anime image "bromides." Considering the current popularity of Vtubers, it was only a matter of time before the two converged.
CryptoGames Inc., a developer of blockchain games and NFT services, will begin selling a limited number of 10 NFTs each of four visual assets of artists affiliated with RIOT MUSIC, a Vtuber artist production agency run by the IP development company Brave Group Co., Ltd.
If you're a fan, then you probably know that RIOT MUSIC is planning their first concert “Re:Volt” on March 21st at Yokohama Bay Hall and online through au Smart Pass. Virtual artists Cocoa Domyoji, Saki Ashizawa, Iori Matsunaga, Yuka Nagase and Suzuna Nagihara will be joined by virtual girl duo Vesperbell as guests.
According to their press release, this will be the first time in the world that NFT visual assets of professional Vtubers will be sold.
The four types of visual assets will be sold between March 12th and 13th, 2021. If there are any changes, they will be announced on CryptoGames' special page for the sale, as well as on their official Twitter account.
Here are the four visual assets that will go on sale:
