Kanagawa’s famous brewery, Sankt Gallen Brewery introduced its newest addition to their IPA lineup, “Father’s Day IPA” on May 13th, 2021 for Father’s day (June 20th) as a limited edition until the end of June.

IPA's generally uses a large amount of hop to create the signature bitter flavor. For the strong flavor and its uniqueness, it’s been a beer to lead the trend of the raft beer market in recent years.

Sankt Gallen also has a world’s class IPA that won first place twice in the World Beer Award, IPA category “YOKOHAMA XPA”. In comparison with this world winning IPA, “Father’s Day IPA” uses even more hops. However, despite the amount of hops, because of its unique brewing process, it is actually less bitter and a softer flavor than YOKOHAMA XPA with a strong aroma of pineapple and citrus fruits. While this IPA offers balanced flavor with a nice and creamy texture, the sugar level is cut almost to zero, making it quite dry on the pallet with a very refreshing aftertaste.
