If the reintroduction of Pumpkin Spice Lattes to Starbucks Japan after 15 years hadn’t quite given it away, pumpkin season is fast upon us, and what better way to celebrate the upcoming halloween festivities than with a pumpkin flavoured cat-shaped cheesecake.


That’s exactly what Neko Neko Cheesecake has come up with in their latest season-limited lineup. Nyanchi Pumpkin, as the name suggests blends Neko Neko Cheesecake’s famously cute cat-shaped cheesecake ‘Nyanchi’ with a taste of autumn.

Autumn’s most famous flavour, pumpkin, is introduced to Neko Neko Cheesecake in this special seasonal addition.
Pumpkin puree is blended into the mixture, before being baked at a high temperature to give it a dark brown colour and finish in traditional basque style. In this autumn-limited edition, the sweet taste of pumpkin comes together with the richness of Brie de Meaux, a cheese which was dubbed ‘the king of cheeses’ back in 1815.

Neko Neko Cheesecake’s Nyanchi Pumpkin will be available to purchase alone, or in a set which includes two plain flavoured and two pumpkin flavoured Nyanchi. This mixed set is recommended for those who like to compare flavours.
Additionally, when purchased from the 1st of October, the set will come with picks inspired by Halloween.
