Japanese Mint Chocolate Butter Adds Refreshing Game Changer For Baking
Soft, pillowy, rich and sweet, I’m not sure anything can get much better than a classic Japanese cheesecake. Ultra-fluffy textures, and a jello-like wiggle, make it hard to turn down.
Soft, pillowy, rich and sweet, I’m not sure anything can get much better than a classic Japanese cheesecake. Now, I’m a huge sucker for anything sugary; give me the option of savoury vs sweet, and I'll probably choose the latter. So when I heard all about this chocolatey twist on a traditional cheesecake, you only need to guess what I’m planning to buy myself on my next payday.
If, like me, you’re a fan of the sweeter things in life, then you may want to look away now before Minimal - Bean to Bar Chocolate’s new Cacao Rare Cheesecake has you drooling down your phone screen.
This rare cheese cake is unique to Minimal - Bean to Bar Chocolate speciality stores, and uses whole cacao fruits. The refreshing acidity of cacao pulp and sweet white chocolate are the perfect match for the milky richness of cream cheese.
The cake’s upper layer uses original white chocolate made from rare cocoa pulp and cocoa butter squeezed from Nicaraguan cocoa beans. Whilst the base is made with bitter Nicaraguan cocoa powder.
Understated tones of sweet white chocolate blend well with the milky richness of cream cheese and the acidic fruity aroma of cocoa pulp. The contrasting crunch of the base leaves the taste buds with a slightly bitter, but pleasant aftertaste.

If you are wondering what to pair the cheesecake with, Minimal - Bean to Bar Chocolate has you covered, suggesting to couple the cake with orange juice for emphasis on the fruity flavours, black tea or coffee to sharpen the cake’s sweet and rich taste, or with sweet milk coffee to accentuate the smooth milky texture.
Minimal - Bean to Bar Chocolate also recommends comparing the new flavour to their Chocolate Rare Cheesecake which is currently on sale. Both are rare cheesecakes made using chocolate, but their differing manufacturing methods and choice in chocolate leave the cakes with contrasting flavours; Chocolate Rare Cheesecake has a mellow sweetness, whilst the acidic Cacao Rare Cheesecake is refreshing in flavour.
