Japanese “ninja” cat runs on walls in a fierce dash to rejoin its owner

Pets usually live a leisurely life, but they sometimes show off their physical prowess in ways that surprise their human caretakers.

Twitter user ももんが Momonga's (@g31_vx) beloved cat, Kintoki 金時, sometimes demonstrates her impressive physical abilities by performing Ninja-like moves running along the walls of their home.

Kintoki-chan is really running along the wall like a ninja! You can almost imagine comic book sound effects FUM FUM FUM as she runs...

She must have come into the room from the corridor, gaining momentum. As she fixes her gaze on the camera, she looks like a cheetah in pursuit of its prey.

This dynamic picture quickly went viral, and already has over 126,000 likes at the time of writing. Moreover, it elicited many comments, such as:

  • "The way Kintoki-chan runs along the wall is too cool!"
  • "It's like a scene from a movie. How amazing you captured it!"
  • "This is awesome! She's really running on the wall. Is she a ninja cat?"
  • "If you look closely, there's another cat behind the door...!"

The serious expression on Kintoki-chan's face reveals the hereditary instincts of felines accustomed to hunting for survival.
