Universal Studios Japan has released an official announcement regarding a new attraction, based on the popular series Hunter x Hunter, by Yoshihiro Togashi, coming up this year, in March.

The series has enthusiastic fans not only in Japan but all over the world so, I bet that everyone is excited to, once again, see their favorite characters coming up at the USJ magical world.

Hunter x Hunter, first serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump, became a great hit and one of the best-selling manga series of Shueisha.

The manga is still ongoing, and chapters are still getting published up to this day. The manga author, also known as "The King of Hiatus," had a serious surgery in the past, and the manga kept getting delayed several times. However, he stated that he plans on finishing it, and fans are ready to enjoy the ride (regardless of how many years that will take!). For fans, Hunter x Hunter is unmistakably a masterpiece and, therefore, definitely worth the time!

The series also had two anime adaptations that received tremendous success.

Now, USJ has announced a 4D attraction that will bring us closer to three of the most beloved characters of Hunter x Hunter: Gon, Killua, and Kurapika. Fans will get to jump into a super-realistic world of hunters and meet their favorite characters again.

According to USJ's official Twitter account, the name of the new attraction is Hunter x Hunter The Real 4D (ハンター×ハンター・ザ・リアル 4D hantā × hantā za Riaru 4D). We can expect top-notch details and a terrific experience leveled up by special effects, sound, lighting, and even splashes of water and fog!

The story focuses on the trio of friends that infiltrate an auction held by the mafia. The mission gradually gets complicated when Hisoka makes his appearance, and the trio tries to stop him.

Unfortunately, the attraction will start from March 4th and only last until August 28th, 2022, so it is better to hurry up if you want to give it a try.

In addition to the Hunter x Hunter attraction coming up, USJ also has a few other collaboration attractions with popular series such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Attack on Titan, Monster Hunter, Detective Conan and Sailor Moon (see more details here), not to mention Super Mario Brothers, so make sure to check it out if you plan on visiting.
