Asahi is one of the representative beers of Japan, so their beverages and can designs can express Japanese culture in myriad ways. Previously they even created a drink made with Mount Fuji rice, and used Hokusai’s famous painting, ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’, in the label design.
In Japan, cherry blossom season is one of the highlights of the year, and many people look forward to spring for this reason. To celebrate the occasion, Asahi are releasing some limited edition versions of their most popular beers.
First, Clear Asahi’s spring edition which is called ‘Sakura no Utage’. It’s the classic taste of Clear Asahi, but a certain type of hops has been used called ‘sabro’, which is particularly aromatic, to give more of a spring-like flavour. The can’s design is awash with light pink blossoms which are certain to put anyone in a seasonal mood.
For Asahi Super Dry’s spring makeover, the beverage has stayed the same, while the can has taken on a strikingly pink and floral appearance.
Asahi Dry Zero, a non-alcoholic beer, has also been revamped for the season. The contents is the same classic Dry Zero taste, and the can’s design has taken on a silver and pink blossom-inspired look.
Whether you’re going out or staying in for the coming cherry blossom season, there’s plenty of options to bring a spring feel to your beverages, and get even more in the spirit of sakura season. These seasonal beer cans will be on sale from 1st February 2022 in shops that stock Asahi beer.
