Over the past year, Burger King has been taking a hammer to the idea of pretty eating with a series of Ugly Burgers that are meant to focus more on messy deliciousness than aesthetic. These have included Shrimp Spicy Ugly Beef Burgers, Teriyaki Ugly Beef Burgers, and Cheese Ugly Beef Burgers.
The "ugly" in the name refers to how each burger is served on handmade four cheese buns with slightly sour Gouda, mild Egmont, sweet Mozzarella, and rich Cheddar cheese layered and baked into them for a get-your-hands-dirty cheesy burger experience.
Starting February 11th, Burger King will be releasing a trio of not-so-pretty burgers, this time serving up the Ugly Beef Burger, Cheese Ugly Beef Burger, and Habanero Cheese Ugly Beef Burger.
Ugly Beef Burger
The Ugly Beef Burger serves up a flame-grilled 100% beef patty with , fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on the popular four-cheese craft buns.
Cheese Ugly Beef Burger
The Cheese Ugly Beef Burger takes the Ugly Beef Burger and adds two slices of rich cheddar cheese that combine with the craft cheese buns for an even cheesier mess.
Habanero Cheese Ugly Beef Burger
The Habanero Cheese Ugly Beef Burger gives the Cheese Ugly Beef Burger a spicy upgrade with a habanero cheese sauce made from habanero powder and chopped jalapenos.
The trio of Ugly Burgers will be available at participating Burger King locations throughout Japan for a limited time beginning February 11th.
