Stop-motion anime Pui Pui Molcar, which shows the adventures of furry hybrid guinea pigs and cars, has become some what of an adorable phenomenon. The wooly felt nature of the guinea pigs on wheels has translated naturally into some great cuddly goods, and fans who are handy with wool felts crafts sometimes make their own.
Japanese manga author Hagan (@hagan_hosenka) decided to try their hand at creating a felt plushie of Potato, one of the main Molcar characters.
While Hagan seemed to have impressively crafted the felt Potato, it wasn't their plushie craftsmanship that created a buzz on Twitter, but instead how their cat reacted to it.
Hagan shared the manga-like episode in four pictures that may as well be manga panels with the caption "My memories with Molcar."

Pui Pui Molcar will note that Hagan made themselves quite the expertly crafted Potato, but unfortunately the manga artist's cat didn't quite appreciate their skill in the same way a fan would! Many in the replies were charmed by the cat's guilty but still somewhat proud look, comparing the final picture to the punch line in a comic strip. Others took it as an adorable sign that the cat would not tolerate the attention of their owner being taken by a guinea pig car hybrid plushie.
Either way, Potato won't be vying for their owner's attention with the cat--at least not in one piece.
