Cygames' popular mobile game Uma Musume: Pretty Derby is celebrating its first anniversary today on February 24th, 2022.
As some of our readers may recall, we introduced their ongoing special collaboration with the FamilyMart convenience store chain, but today, there was another announcement that made trainers in the Kanto area jump for joy ("Umapyoi!")
The horse girls made a splash on Tokyo's most important train line, the JR Yamanote line that connects the capital's major centers.
A total of 52 horse girls, including Special Week, Silence Suzuka, and Tokai Teio, will appear as full-size panels decorating the outside of the train cars.
The idea for the collaboration came about for two main reasons: To begin with, the color of the Yamanote Line is green, just like the grass at Tracen Academy where the horse girls train. Second, the Yamanote Line goes around Tokyo in a circle, just like a racetrack does.
The specially decorated Yamanote Line featuring the girls of Uma Musume: Pretty Derby will run from February 24th to March 13th, 2022.
A total of eight trains are scheduled to go into operation on the line by February 28th, 2022.
If you live in the Tokyo area and happen to be a fan, why not race together with your favorite horse girls and take a ride?
