It’s amazing how an animal as cute as a cat can suddenly switch up, and make some of the ugliest faces to be seen in the pet world. One cat shocked Japanese Twitter recently, as he has a ridiculously creepy sleeping face.

The owner posted this photo on Twitter and according to some commenters, they were so shocked by the expression that they spit their coffee out. Others pointed out that it doesn’t even look like the cat is sleeping.

According to the owner it’s nothing to worry about, as this is just the cat’s normal sleeping face when he’s in a particularly deep slumber. He also likes to sleep facing upwards, pressed against the arm of the chair, so this explains why his skin is being pulled to the side a bit.

This isn’t the first time that the cat has made such a strange face while sleeping, but to the people who saw it for the first time, it’s only natural that they would be astonished.
