Japanese dessert chain Ginza Cozy Corner are known for their colourful and beautifully presented sweet treats. They often collaborate with Disney to create mini-cake sets, inspired by various characters and movies.
In particular, this year they seem to be flying through the classics, creating collections inspired by Beauty and the Beast and Tangled. The next magical offering is inspired by the 1953 animated film Peter Pan.
As usual, the box has nine individual mini desserts, each one designed to represent a certain character or motif from the animation. Disney super fans will instantly recognise the inspiration behind each cake, but here’s a run down just in case.
Starting from the top left, there’s a strawberry whip cream cake based on the mermaids, a grape mousse cake to represent Captain Hook, and a ramune and cream cheese roll cake that mimics Mr. Smee’s style.
On the left side of the middle row, we have a raspberry jam and whipped cream tart for John, and the memorable clock tower scene is recreated as a chocolate roll cake with mint chocolate whipped cream. On the right is a strawberry whipped cream tart inspired by Michael.
Finally, the bottom row is made up of a Wendy-inspired ramune flavour cake, a melon flavour whipped cream tart for Peter Pan, and a chocolate mousse tart to represent Tinkerbell.
The box the set comes in is also emblazoned with the featured characters and scenery from Never Land.
Peter Pan fans are extra spoilt this month, as there’s some other themed treats available in adorable packaging from 22nd April.
The Peter Pan Collection cake set costs 2700 yen and will be available in branches of Ginza Cozy Corner in Japan from 22nd April to 26th May 2022.
