Themed cafes are a sizeable part of fan culture in Japan, which probably explains why all the coolest character themed menus seem to be found in Japan. One cafe has recently been churning out amazing Disney collaboration cafes, including takeovers from Winnie the Pooh, Frozen and more.
The latest temporary menu starting next month is based on the 1951 animated classic, Alice in Wonderland. With magical looking food like this, Disney fans may feel as though they’re really stepping into Wonderland.
The specific theme is ‘Alice in Wonderland with Strange Animals’ meaning lots of the strange creatures that Alice encounters on her journey are present, and there’s plenty to see for kids and nostalgic adults alike. The lineup includes main dishes, desserts and beverages too, all with a Wonderland-esque twist.
The memorable talking doorknob has been recreated as a curry and rice dish representing Alice’s welcome to the strange new world.
Some cute and colourful sandwiches have been made in the image of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
The sentient flowers who inhabit wonderland are also referenced in an elaborate chilled capellini.
For something sweet, Alice stars in a granola bowl.
There's also various eye-catching drinks on the menu, inspired by different characters.
With all of Oh My Cafe’s Disney events, they work to comply with Disney’s nutritional guidelines, so the food doesn’t just look cool, it should be good for you too.
Naturally, there will be a lineup of original merchandise based on the cafe's theme.
With all this on offer, who needs to travel all the way to Disneyland?
