If the internet is anything to go by, some cats look even more adorable while sleeping, while others seem to take sleeping as a challenge to pull off the most chaotic pose felinely possible.

But one cat that drew attention on the Japanese side of Twitter in the last week managed to pull of a sleeping pose feat many thought impossible.

The owner already thought they had struck cat pose gold when the feline ended up making a distinctive Superman reference while up in his cat tower. He also looks like he could be celebrating something, holding his front paws high in the air. Overall, it’s a charismatic enough posture for a great cat photo.

But what he did next was even more surprising. According to the owner, the cat stayed in this pose and fell straight asleep.

This was such a shocking development that over 19 thousand people liked the Tweet, with many people complimenting his pose and wondering how it was possible to sleep in that position.

Holding his arms straight up does seem like a strange way to sleep. Is he not exerting any effort to keep them in the air? Perhaps it just feels good to be stretched out and it made him feel sleepy. At any rate, we hope his dreams match his Superman pose, and he can enjoy being the hero!
