Mark-on, Co. Ltd., a Japanese company developing and distributing xR applications and metaverse-related apps, has begun distributing a humanoid 3D model called ニルナ Nillna.

You can download Nillna in VRM format for free here.

Nillna is intended for use in a variety of fields. With its simple design and low polygon count, Nillna can be used not only to develop services but also in the research and development stage or in the proof-of-concept stage. Moreover, the model can be used by both individuals and corporations, including in for-profit applications!

Since this means we were allowed to download and use the model too, we decided to put Nillna to use helping us present the rest of this article!

Say hi to our readers, Nillna!

It was so simple to use. We just downloaded the model and created a few poses. You can find free software and apps on your mobile device that will let you create poses and save them as graphic files.

So, Nillna, is there anything else our readers need to know before using your model?

Do's and Dont's

Thanks, Nillna!

Also, as explained on Mark-on's website, you should display Mark-on's logo(s) in derivative products and/or the copyright notice (as we've done here).

For all the details of the terms of service, you can refer to the distribution page (in Japanese) here.

According to their press release, Nillna's design reflects an active image with a color scheme based on Mark-on's logo.

Nillna has also been tested with Meta Quest 2 and HoloLens 2, making it an easy-to-use 3D model for xR application developers. Of course, you can also use Nillna as your avatar in Virtual Cast, VRChat or other social VR spaces of your choosing, and even with mocap for live streaming.

Wow, Nillna, you can do all that? You're awesome!
