Just when you thought McDonald's Japan tangy Shin Ultraman burgers were big enough, they've decided to take the burger battle to space, and with some anime flavor to boot.

McDonald's recently announced that beginning June 22nd, they'll be teaming up with Char Azanable, The Red Comet himself from iconic anime series Mobile Suit Gundam for a six-item menu of Gundam burgers and beverages.

The new lineup of burgers and drinks is being dubbed "Char's Custom McDonald's" (a reference to the custom MS-06S Zaku II piloted by Char Azanable)!

Char's new Gundam McDonald's lineup features a Red Garlic Teriyaki Burger, New Type White Triple Cheeseburger, Spicy Double Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger Sausage McMuffin, as well as Red Energy McFizz and McFloat on the beverage and dessert front. The burger wrappings and beverage cups will also showcase Mobile Suits piloted by Char in the anime, including the MSM-07S Z'Gok, MS-06S Zaku II, MS-14S Gelgoog Commander Type, and MSN-02 Zeong.

Red Garlic Teriyaki Burger

A new take on McDonald's Japan's popular teriyaki burger. This serves the tangy teriyaki beef patty on a red bun made with tomato powder, then tops it with smoked bacon, and a garlic and soy sauce flavored mayo sauce.

New Type White Triple Cheeseburger

The "New Type" Triple Cheeseburger takes McDonald's Japan's recently released triple cheeseburger but replaces the usual cheddar with a rich white cheddar cheese for a creamier texture and taste.

Spicy Double Cheeseburger

This re-release of a limited spicy upgrade on the classic Double Cheeseburger features fiery cheddar cheese made with habanero powder and tops it off with jalapeno slices.

Double Cheeseburger Sausage McMuffin (breakfast only)

A Double Cheeseburger for breakfast! The breakfast version of the classic replaces the beef with two sausage patties served up in a muffin with all the toppings of the Double Cheeseburger.

McFizz and McFloat Red Energy flavor

The energy drink-flavored beverage made from honey and guarana can be enjoyed on its own as a fizzzy drink or topped with a dollop of soft-serve vanilla ice cream. They come served in a cup featuring a design of either Char's custom MSM-07S Z'Gok or MS-06S Zaku II.

All menu items will go on sale at McDonald's throughout Japan beginning June 22nd. As an added bonus, customers for a limited time can use an AR-based "Gundam 100 Character Diagnosis" to analyze what Gundam universe character they are with their purchase.
