Attack on Titan is one of the most popular anime shows in recent years, and fans have already been able to enjoy plenty of awesome merchandise based on the characters and motifs from the show. With the ‘Final Season’ being released in parts this year, we seem to be getting cooler and cooler merch as time goes on, and these new figures in particular answer an interesting question. What if the Survey Corps were cute kitties?
Japanese online hobby store Ami Ami have teamed up with manufacturer Mega House, to bring this vision to life.
The ‘Mega Cat Project Attack on Titan, Attack on Nyanko Survey Corps Assemble Nyan!’ set includes 8 figures. Of course, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin have been selected for this feline collection.
As well as Jean, Sasha, and Erwin.
And the cat-ified Levi and Hange.
Each figure is very obviously inspired by the character’s design with hair colour informing the cat’s fur and an expression to match the character’s personality. There’s also fun details that are sure to delight fans such as the Sasha-cat chomping down on a snack.
The figures look extra cute when placed to recreate scenes from the anime, camping out in the wilderness as the Survey Corps often must do.
Each figure is about 3 cm tall for a cute, pocket-sized effect and the full set of eight figures costs 5720 yen. Even thought they’re not set to go on sale until the end of December this year, they can be preordered on Ami Ami’s online store.
