Floresta, a Japanese doughnut chain, is known for their sweet creations. Their nickname is ‘nature doughnuts’ since all their recipes use only organic ingredients. The company started in Nara, and now stores can be found all over the country.
Recently they’ve even been collaborating with companies like San-X on adorable character-shaped treats. They've already covered Rilakkuma, and now for the first time they are debuting doughnuts starring some of the recognisable faces from Sumikko Gurashi.
Each adorable treat is actually a double feature, with two characters chosen for each doughnut. One plays the part of the ring doughnut, while the other one sits cutely in the middle.
For the first one, the ring doughnut is Neko with a happy looking Zassou on top. The second adorable option is Shirokuma as a ring doughnut, joined by his own luggage, Furoshiki. These two will be on sale from 6th to 16th August.
For the second part of the campaign, more characters will appear. Tonkatsu and Ebifurai no Shippo will be sold as part of a colourful cup of mini doughnut balls from 17th to 28th August.
Sumikko Gurashi lovers with a sweet tooth can find these shy doughnuts at selected branches of Floresta, or order them through their online store.
