Pokemon manhole covers have succeeded in taking over Japan with over 200 original covers installed, spanning the whole country. The campaign, called 'Pokefuta' in Japanese and 'Poke Lids' in English, started as a way to bring more attention to little known areas, and now roaming Pokemon fans go out of their way to get a glimpse of these elusive manholes.

The designs are all original and made by hand, so it was just a matter of time before these attractive covers got their own merchandise.

Variety store Village Vanguard have released various cool souvenirs and accessories based on the Poke Lid designs. The collections are split by the prefecture where you can find the real life manhole covers.

The first collection features the Pokefuta found in Aomori, Miyazaki, Nara, and Kyoto.

You can get a metal model of the manhole cover, or a handy mug lid made of rubber.

There’s also circular postcards, badges, and rubber keychains. Each of these items are sold as a lucky dip, so you don’t know which design you will get.

The second collection is for Tokyo, Miyagi, and Hokkaido.

You can catch a circular postcard, a badge, or a rubber keychain. These designs are also sold in a random fashion, so you don’t know which design will be given.

They can be found in store in branches of Village Vanguard in Japan, or via their online store.
