Stunning and Heartwarming Photography From the ‘Bubble Uncle’ Who Spreads Joy Around Japan

Japan has quite the share of floral beauty, but one of its best views comes in mid-September along the Aizumamegawa River in Aichi prefecture. There rows of bright red higanbana (Cluster amaryllis) bloom and turn the river bed into a sea of crimson.
Japanese photographer Ryogo Urata(@Ryogo_Urata)recently captured an excellent shot of that scenery, wowing many on Twitter who weren't aware just how special it looks. Take a look at the magnificent cluster Urata photographed recently.

The name "higanbana" comes from Buddhist scriptures such as the Lotus Sutra, and is also known as "manjushage," meaning "flower that blooms in the heavenly realm." It's certainly a fitting name when you see it presented in such a breathtaking photo. Many on Twitter commented saying that the cluster of deep red flowers looks like something out of this world, which given its name, they just might be!
Be sure to follow Urata on Twitter for even more awesome photography around Japan.
