This news comes on the heels of Cover's September 30th announcement that it was contributing a sum equivalent to nearly $70,000 USD to the Japan AED Foundation.
The Japan AED Foundation is dedicated to saving the lives of residents of Japan from sudden cardiac death by promoting, educating, and training them in the use of AEDs, thereby ensuring safety and security in the country. Every year, about 80,000 people suffer cardiac arrest outside of hospitals. Some of these people are saved by the use of AEDs.
As "Lifesaving Supporter," Shirakami Fubuki will work on promoting and raising awareness of AEDs as a member of team ASUKA. Her term will begin on October 14th, 2022, and end on March 31st, 2023.
