Enjoy moon-viewing with seasonal selections from McDonald’s Japan [Review]
Colonel Sanders and his Japan operation typically make waves in the news when they announce something unusual like an all-you-can-eat-and-drink KFC buffet in Tokyo, but this time KFC Japan is getting attention for something that's the norm in some other countries. KFC Japan has decided to celebrate it's 40th anniversary by rebranding their chicken sandwiches as burgers.
KFC Japan has announced that they've made the decision to "get serious" about burgers, so they're going to be turning their usual chicken sandwich lineup into burgers. Burgers at KFC aren't unheard of in other countries, as the U.S. boasts it's own Kentucky Fried Chicken burgers, but KFC Japan has only ever offered their chicken as sandwiches (like their popular moon viewing festival chicken sandwiches) outside of two burgers. That's about to change, however, as the chicken chain's Japan branches are expanding to a five burger lineup that features a Spicy Chicken Filet Burger, Cheese Chicken Filet Burger, and Double Chicken Filet Burger on top of their Chicken Filet and Japanese Style Chicken Katsu Burgers.
Naturally, that means a switch from the usual sandwich bread to burger buns.

Starting October 12th, the KFC Burgers lineup will be available at locations throughout Japan, and small drink and medium French fry sets will be 100 yen off during the lunchtime hours of 10:00 to 4:00pm!
