Japanese wood carving artist Poppo (@warkingpoppo) is a superbly talented at their craft, and has made waves on Twitter for keeping the age old intricate craft alive by carving genius Pokémon household items, some of which are even mechanized.
Poppo is once again captivating many online with their incredibly realistic recreation of something dear and near to the hearts many in Japan--Sakura Cray-pas, the signature crayons of famous Japanese stationery maker Sakura-craypas, and it's hard to believe they aren't real!

Poppo's expertly carved set of crayons capture every detail of an actual box set of Sakura Cray-pas, right down to the labeling of each one in a set of 12 that makes use of colored wood! At first glance it's hard to believe this is a set of "colorless" stationery without function. Regardless, the nostalgic charm of the set has many in the replies charmed to see it reproduced in such stunning detail, as well as thrilled that Poppo continues to keep showing wood carving as a worthwhile hobby.
