Starbucks Japan celebrates sakura season with a full bloom cherry blossom berry Frappuccino
Starbucks Japan never lets us beverage fans down when it comes to seasonal drinks. Despite November only just coming to a close, they’re already on to their second Christmas time offering. It’s a festive duo consisting of a Frappuccino and a hot beverage, themed around mille-feuille, a dessert made of puff pastry with cream between the layers.
First up, is the ‘Butter Caramel Mille-feuille Frappuccino’. Since they've taken inspiration from the mille-feuille, this creation has a flakey and crunchy texture along with the smooth cream and icy Frappuccino base. It contains a custard sauce flavoured with caramel, and has baked feuillantine flakes and pie crumbs as a topping. The inside of the cup is also slathered with butter caramel sauce to add to the presentation.

But if you need a hot treat to ward off the cold, there’s also a ‘Butter Caramel Mille-feuille Latte’. This wintery concoction is made of steamed milk, butter caramel sauce, custard sauce, and espresso, sprinkled with feuillantine and pie crumbs.

These two seasonal creations will be hitting Starbucks stores all over Japan from 30th November 2022, and will be sticking around on the menu until 25th December.
