The new Star Wars movie is going to be awakened in a few weeks, every corner of the world is celebrating, even the Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto, one of Japan's most famous and iconic Buddhist temples. We have no clue on how Disney gave the permission to lend the “force” to this temple, but anyway it happened and it looks incredibly awesome!

The Star Wars folding screens were created by Taro Yamamoto, a well-famous Japanese artist for his works on “Nipponga.” The event was held by the governor of Kyoto Prefecture Keiji Yamada, and Yamamoto. In addition with two Stormtroopers that look like bodyguards protecting the artwork. Not sure if the people were aware, but those two bodyguards are supposed to be the bad guys in the movie...

In any case it would not matter since Japan had been well known to be a peaceful country. The event also featured the talented Kanji Calligraphy artist Seihan Mori, who wrote 覚醒 (kakusei), “awakens,” in large calligraphy as you can see from the picture below. Obviously, the “awakens” part is to related to the upcoming Star Wars movie under titled as “The Force Awakens.”
