Dimitra Milan is a 16-year-old artist whose paintings have already made it to private collections across the U.S. and Europe. But behind her current success is her constant labor towards improving and exploring her creative passion.
A daughter of two established artists, art has always been a part of Milan’s life. When she started painting four years ago, she made the decision to be homeschooled so that she could spend more time working on her craft. Now she’s a professional painter, and her artwork is absolutely stunning.
“I want my artwork to inspire people and make them feel that anything is possible for them. Help them understand who their true self is and how they are capable of anything they put their mind to,” Milan writes on her website.

Milan explains that she paints women and animals/nature together to create a dreamy atmosphere, one that gives her audience the feeling that anything is possible.
“I hope that when people see my artwork, they see beauty. I hope that they see themselves. I hope they have some kind of deep, internal response in their heart—not just a cognitive response,” she said in an interview. “I want the paintings to be like a door to a new world, a heavenly realm where there are no prey and there are no predators, just beauty, hope, adventure, confidence, and of course love.”
