The work of a manga artist is far from an easy job, but it’s one that is somewhat veiled in mystery. What exactly goes on in the studios, and how are the storylines and drawings of famous manga created? Well luckily for us, we can now pretend to be manga artists and animators for a day at the Naga Latte Cafe in Omotesando, Tokyo.

Open from March 19th to April 17th, the Naga Latte Cafe is a collaborative effort between popular manga artists and anime studio STUDIO4℃. “Naga Latte” is a play on the Japanese word nagara (“while doing~”) and “latte,” the concept of the cafe stemming from the idea that people focus better when they’re relaxed, and work can be done more productively while sipping on a latte.

On the first floor is an area where you can do a latte tasting of Bottlatte, a brand of bottled latte drinks featured at the cafe. The second floor is the Naga Latte Cafe, where you can sit at a specially designed desks and dabble in the work of manga artists and animators, all while sipping delicious Bottlatte drinks.

There are 7 desks in total, all produced by popular manga artists recreating their working environment. You can brush up on your daubing skills at Japanese manga artist Ume’s desk, or trace one cut of manga Tekkonkinkreet at STUDIO4℃’s desk.

Plus, the drawers are packed with lattes and milk tea, which, for 90 minutes, customers can drink freely. They’ll even give you rusks to snack on while you work, all for just 500 yen (4.47 USD)!

It’s a one-of-a-kind experience for anyone interested in becoming a manga artist or animator, as well as those who are simply interested in how they work. And who can complain about 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink lattes?
