Japanese fashion retailer Trove has made efforts before to offer modern day stylings of traditional Japanese clothing, even going so far as to release Star Wars themed haori. Now they are taking the same approach to help you brave the Winter as a samurai with casual traditional Japanese haori coats.

The soft and warming Winter series is the latest entry in Trove's Wa-Robe (和ROBE), or Japanese-style robe, line of clothing--a fashionable effort to mesh traditional Japanese garments with modern styles. The Wool Haori offers you a way to keep yourself warm in style as a modern-day samurai. The subdued gray and navy colors pair well with modern day fashion as well. There are also matching Wool hakama to warm your legs in billowy comfort.

An indented cotton variation called the Masu-Ori Haori also is also available in white.

If you're looking for a little golden gaudiness, there is also a variation called the Ventile Haori.

These high quality modern haori sell for 29,700 yen ($285.72 USD), while the hakama are priced at 24,840 yen ($238.97 USD) at Trove's online shop.
