Japanese Twitter user and arts and crafts handiworker @trill_yukawa, or Trill, needed to put together a new kitty-house for their beloved cat, Hachi for two reasons. One--Winter is coming, and even a feline coat won't fend off the White Walkers. Two--well, just look at Hachi's old house!
So having outgrown the previous makeshift house, it was time to give Hachi an early Christmas present, one that showed off Trill's creative craftsmanship.
And this house would have the added personality of traditional sliding Japanese doors!

With the kanji for "fish" (sakana) and Hachi's name on it, it looks like Hachi wasn't just getting a new house, but their very own sushi restaurant.

And Hachi's new house is complete! Although Trill says they admit to overdoing it by putting in a pet heater.

Even with meticulously hand-painted windows and tiles, Trill was very proud of the traditional style roof.

But at the end of the day, only Hachi's opinion counts.
Maybe it was the appeal of possible sushi inside, but Hachi took to it quite naturally!

We think Hachi will make it through the Winter just fine.
