Fans of the popular anime and manga series Fullmetal Alchemist turned their heads when it was announced that live-action film adaptation would hit Japan in the Winter of 2017. With a cast headed by pop star and actor Ryosuke Yamada of Hey! Say! JUMP starring as Edward Elric, many have been anxious to see if this would fall into the "hit" or "miss" category of so many other anime to live-action transformations, and now Warner Brothers has begun to tease an answer to that question with the first official teaser trailer released on their site.

The Japanese text, in order, reads as follows:

"The time has come."

Original work: Arakawa Hiromu

Director: Sori Fumihiko

"The great journey of a certain two brothers."

"The legend finally begins."

"Fullmetal Alchemist"

"I'll definitely get our bodies back."

Winter, 2017.

Although just a teaser, we can hope for a more fleshed out trailer in the near future. Hopefully one as long as the Ghost in The Shell trailer.

Here's a back up link, although the film's website has the trailer available as well.
