The traditional art of Japanese woodblock printing has joined forces with one of today’s most epic film series, Star Wars. Utilizing a form of printing that has existed in Japan since the Edo period (1603-1868), HKDS has revealed a lineup of three original pieces that will win the hearts of any Star Wars fan with an eye for art.
Adding to their One Piece woodblock prints, HKDS's newest artworks feature BB-8, Kylo Ren, and Stormtroopers from the Star Wars franchise. To ensure the best quality, the vividly colored graphics have been printed by expert craftsmen on Sekishu Washi, a type of handmade Japanese paper that has been designated an Important Intangible Cultural Property since 1969.
