February 22nd is Cat Day in Japan, and home chefs will be able to celebrate by turning their workstations into an adorably feline-infested space. Making its launch on the 22nd will be a collection of cat kitchen tools from Kai that will compel you to replace all your little gadgets quicker than a cat can rip up a box of tissues.
The collection is fittingly called Nyammy, a portmanteau of the words “nyan” (the Japanese equivalent of “meow”) and “yummy.” It includes a total of six kitchen tools including kitchen knives and vegetable peelers that are a combination of cute and practical. Sold individually, you can just get the ones you frequently use or buy them all to maximize the presence of kitties in your kitchen.
Vegetable Peeler (850 yen/US$7.50)
Comes with a cat-shaped cover, and can be turned over and used as a mini-grater!
