It's that glorious time of year when sakura-themed products are being released at full-throttle in Japan, and joining the rush of gustatorily satisfying spring foods is McDonald's Japan's Crunchy Sakura McFlurry!
From March 1st until the beginning of April, McDonald's Japan locations will be offering sakura mochi-flavored McFlurries perfect for the warm spring season. In both taste and appearance, it's the kind of festive dessert you would want to take to a picnic with friends under the soft pink cherry blossom trees.

The Crunchy Sakura McFlurry is a mix of soft serve ice cream and waffle ice cream cone bits, drizzled with a "sakura mochi sauce" accented with salt-pickled sakura leaves. The texture is as every bit as enjoyable as its elegant aroma of cherry blossoms, and the pink sakura-embellished cup it comes in will only make you crave it even more.

This special McFlurry has spring written all over it, and you can get it for 290 yen (US$2.60) at McDonald's locations throughout Japan. It will only be available until April, so make sure you get a cup of this delicious dessert before it's gone like the delicate flowers of cherry blossom trees.
