Depending on the region, Japan's beautiful cherry blossom season is in full throttle or just beginning to wind down. Either way, this time of year always guarantees sakura lovers two things: absolutely gorgeous scenery, and a treasure trove of cherry blossom flavored goods. For perhaps the best example of the former, you need look no further than null (@NrNrNr7), software engineer, photographer, and sakura lover, for perhaps the best selection of cherry blossom photography we've seen this season.

As we are in the midst of a gorgeous cherry blossom season, Null's Twitter account is overflowing with attention from cherry blossom-viewing (hanami) fans, particularly those who enjoy photography of the beautiful illumination displays that make sakura all the more spectacular at night. For a previous example, in 2016, Null took these wonderful shots at Hirosaki Park in Aomori Prefecture.

This year, his shots of one of Tokyo's most popular and historic cherry blossom viewing spots, Chidorigafuchi Moat, is attracting loads of praise. It's easy to understand why--the winding moat pass takes you under a sea of 260 sakura trees, and is located just northwest of the Imperial Palace. At night, the light-up displays illuminate the cherry blossoms into an even more gorgeous scene to take in.

Lastly, null also previously captured these wonderful pictures of the 800 Yoshino Sakura trees that are lit up for a glorious illumination at night during the Nakameguro Sakura festival along the Meguro River in Tokyo. Be sure to also check out this amazing drone footage that takes you over the magical path of cherry blossoms.
