Goku no Kimochi is a Japanese spa which has become renowned for their incredibly relaxing head massages. Since opening in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, they’ve opened branches in Tokyo and Kyoto which all boast a three month waiting list.

But what makes the massage so special that people are willing to book three months ahead? Apparently, their unique method sends most customers into a deep sleep within ten minutes, melting away stress, insomnia and other ailments common in this modern, fast paced society.
If you count yourself among the ailing and love futuristic/steampunk/sci-fi themed places, you're going to want to visit their new branch in Harajuku.
With the success of their other branches, Goku no Kimochi wanted to create something a bit grander, and embarked on creating Japan's first 'sleep attraction'. The theme of a time machine was chosen because many of their customers remarked that the massage was like stepping into a time machine and coming out as your future, refreshed self without noticing the passing of time. Enlisting the help of theme park designers, they’ve made this idea come to life as an awesome, sci-fi themed massage parlour.

With the very steampunk-esque entrance and slick, time-themed hallways, it will be even easier to believe you're about to be transported to a stress-free future.
