Himono-ya is a Tokyo izakaya chain with a charming drawing of an old man as their logo. It may seem unassuming enough but down those stairs is a haven for sake lovers.

The rice wine known colloquially in English as ‘sake’ is actually called ‘nihonshu’, as sake is just a general word for alcohol in Japanese. This beverage is what Himono-ya is offering for a super affordable all you can drink course. The izakaya has twenty different premium varieties of nihonshu from all over the country including world renowned brand Dassai.

With the drinking of alcohol, often comes hunger, but Himono-ya has you covered there too. The restaurant specialises in charcoal grilled fish.

But of course, there are conditions. (That word which turns up concerning any amazing deal.) It’s only available Sunday to Thursday every week, not including days before a national holiday. This deal would be perfect for those who don’t work the usual Monday to Friday then, or students. Also you must order at least two plates of food per person at the table.
