Cat owners universally understand the struggles of dealing with shed fur and have probably resigned themselves to always having a certain amount of it on their clothes.
With such an abundance lying around the house, it would be good if it could be put to some sort of use.
Well, this married Japanese couple have found the perfect artistic outlet to utilize the fur of their four-legged friends, and it has earned them over 80,000 followers on Instagram.
According to the Asahi Shimbun, Hiromi Yamazaki makes the elaborate headpieces for the cats and her husband, Ryo Yamazaki photographs the cats while they model them.
They own three adorable Scottish fold cats which all luckily have distinctly coloured fur (white, ginger and grey), giving Hiromi more versatility in her creations.
Some are pretty fancy, like this New Years decoration inspired headgear.
Some of the styles are inspi-purred by popular culture like video games and movies.
And they couldn't resist this one. Fake mews!
