Japan’s favourite season is coming. The sakura will be Bellossom-ing and all you will hear from hay fever sufferers is Pik-achoo!
The cherry blossom craze is taking over again, and the world’s first permanent Pokemon Cafe, located in Tokyo, is getting in on the action.
They’ve just released details of a brand new menu to celebrate the one year anniversary of their opening, and it includes some sweet spring additions.
The Pokemon Cafe came up with a creative (and unexpected) way to incorporate the sakura motif into the menu, with a ‘sakura afro’, depicting the pocket monsters rocking pretty pink afro hairstyles.
Pokemon Cafe Spring Menu
Sakura Afro Pikachu Marshmallow Cake (1,706 yen)
Bulbasaur Vegetable Burger (1,490 yen)
The Pokemon Cafe latte art (756 yen) allows you to choose any of your favourite Pokemon from the original 151 to adorn the top of your coffee, and for spring, the sakura afro Pikachu will become available as one of those choices.
Also coming for the special spring menu is the Charizard Roast Beef Volcano Plate and Squirtle Foamy Parfait.
New dishes will also be added to the normal menu. A Mew Marshmallow Drink, and float drinks based around the legendary bird Pokemon, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres.
