We’re sad to see Starbucks Japan’s drink event of the year, the sakura Frappuccino and latte, on the way out. But don’t be too down about it, because of course there’s another delicious limited time only beverage about swoop in and tantalise our tastebuds!
The Classic Tiramisu Frappuccino is ready to fill the empty space with a creamy, chocolaty, coffee fusion, based on the popular Italian dessert.
Coffee lovers may be disappointed at the lack of coffee in Starbucks Japan’s usual Frappuccino offerings, but thanks to the sponge cake pieces infused with Starbucks’ very own brew, this beverage comes with a small caffeine kick.
Described as having all the delicousness of a home made tiramisu, Starbucks Japan used inspiration from classic tiramisu recipes to get the authentic taste just right. Sponge pieces will be soaked in coffee and syrup, then joining them in the cup is a mascarpone and egg custard base. The beverage is topped with a generous helping of whipped cream and sprinkled with cocoa powder.
The dessert inspired drink will be available in Starbucks branches all over Japan from 20th March to 10th April costing 590 yen (not including tax).
