Japanese university student and papercraft artist @02ESyRaez4VhR2l (Haruki) loves Japanese snacks and sweets just as much as the rest of us, but he appears to be a bit more interested in the packaging they come in. That's because Haruki, who's been featured on national television for his outstanding artwork, has a talent for turning that packaging into awesome characters and even scenery.
He's turned an empty Pringles can into a dashing gentleman, then a full-fledged boy band, chocolate boxes into Studio Ghibli-esque towns and Final Fantasy airships, and even a box of Chivas Regal into a badass knight!
Haruki's latest piece takes an empty box of Gari Gari Kun, a popular Japanese popsicle, and turns it into an impressively crafted winged superhero.

As with his previous work, Haruki creatively uses character features on the packaging--such as Gari Gari Kun's face--to craft his own figure's looks, and even tops it off with the "Soda" flavoring written on our masked hero's wing. Perhaps Soda-man would be an appropriate name.
If you want to see more awesome snack packaging paper art, follow Haruki on Twitter, where you can see chocolate boxes turned into violinists, rusk cookie boxes into floral vases, and even creme filled biscuit snack packaging into a mecha toddler.
