About Edo Kiriko
Edo kiriko 江戸切子, or cut glass from Edo, is a traditional Japanese craft dating from the 1830s in which clear colors and delicate patterns are cut into glass. Glasses, plates and other tableware or decorative items made in Edo kiriko, like the ones shown below, are popular as gifts, although sometimes they can be a bit difficult to take home on an international flight.
