Is Japanese Convenience Store’s $1 Bubble Tea the Cheapest Boba Yet?

There's no slowing down the boba boom train in Japan. Recently the bubble tea craze has produced boba beer and even boba pizza. For a limited time, Gong Cha Japan will be offering a boba tea menu that uses tea leaves from Shizuoka prefecture, which is known in Japan for its high quality tea.
Gong Cha's new "Japanese tea" series includes boba drinks using roasted green tea leaves (Hojicha) and roasted brown rice green tea (Genmaicha).
