Japan’s Tapioca Beer Puts Bubble Tea Fandom To The Test

There's no slowing down the boba boom train in Japan. Recently the bubble tea craze has produced boba beer and even boba pizza. The latest offering from popular Taiwanese tea chain Gong Cha isn't quite so adventurous, but looks to be just as delicious (well, depending how delicious you think tapioca pizza and beer are).
For a limited time, Gong Cha Japan will be offering a boba tea menu that uses tea leaves from Shizuoka prefecture, which is known in Japan for its high quality tea.
Gong Cha's new "Japanese tea" series includes boba drinks using roasted green tea leaves (Hojicha) and roasted brown rice green tea (Genmaicha).
